Heracles Almelo has signed former youth international Mimeirhel Benita from Feyenoord. The 21-year-old right-back signs a three-year contract in Overijssel.

What happened?

Benita played 32 times for the Heraclieden last season. On average, he played less than seventy minutes per game for the Almeloers.

Why is this important for Heracles?

Benita is the third signing of the season for Heracles. Left winger Tristan van Gilst previously joined on a free transfer from De Graafschap and nineteen-year-old goalkeeper Leco Zeevalkink also joins on a free transfer from NEO Borne.

What's next?

Heracles will also continue with a new coach next season. Erwin van de Looi is being replaced by Bas Sibum. The 42-year-old coach from Nieuw-Amsterdam comes from Roda JC.
