Heracles Almelo has exercised the buy option in the rental contract of Walid Ould-Chikh. The 26-year-old player is taken over definitively from Eintracht Braunschweig and will also be under contract for the next three seasons at the Asito stadium. Ould-Chikh was hired from Second Bundesliga club Eintracht Braunschweig on September 1 last year. Since then, he has played in 22 matches for Heracles Almelo, scoring 1 goal and providing 4 assists in the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie. After the intention was expressed earlier to continue together, the final formalities were recently completed. “During the conclusion of the rental contract, we also signed this contract for 3 seasons, so that we could switch to the buy option immediately”, said technical director Ernest Faber. “That is now the case. Walid is a good and versatile player who can perform on multiple positions. He will help us in our ambition to return to the Eredivisie as quickly as possible and has a lot of room to grow in value for us.” Walid Ould-Chikh is also pleased that his future lies at the Asito stadium. “I am happy and proud to have signed a contract for a longer period with Heracles Almelo. We will do everything to bring the club back to the highest level as quickly as possible. The fact that Heracles Almelo has given me that trust does me good.”
