Heracles Almelo has partnered with Jamestown Analytics to improve its scouting and attract better players. The data experts from the company help clubs understand the intrinsic value of players. Jamestown Analytics has a comprehensive database of professional footballers worldwide and specializes in translating the level at which a player is currently active into the level of the club with which Jamestown collaborates. The data-based collaboration will introduce a new form of scouting. We have extensively evaluated the past season and it is clear that we must take a next step in our development with Heracles Almelo, said technical director Ernest Faber. Modern football is changing rapidly and it is essential that we keep up. The data from Jamestown will not replace our scouting, but will play a prominent role in our scouting policy. The analyses they provide enable us to act faster and more targeted on the transfer market and to use our financial resources more effectively. Heracles Almelo has secured exclusivity and can be the only club in the Netherlands to use the services of Jamestown Analytics. The company works on three continents with over 15 clubs. In a statement, Heracles states: At many of these clubs, performance improved significantly after they partnered with Jamestown.
