Heracles Almelo have signed Mika Nurmela. The 33-year-old Nurmela joins from HJK Helsinki and has a contract until the end of the season.

Heracles Almelo have signed Nurmela to strengthen their squad. Nurmela has previously played for Emmen and Heerenveen in the Eredivisie.
Why is this important for Heracles?
Heracles need Nurmela to turn things around. The club is currently 18th in the Eredivisie with 19 points from 34 games. The last five games have all ended in defeat.

Heracles will now have to do without defender Ragnar Klavan, who is out for six weeks with a shoulder injury. Coach Peter Bosz will have to improvise to compensate for the loss of Klavan.
